Welcome to a one-of-a-kind B & B that spans more than a century of community engagement. The Inn we are welcoming you into is a former church, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guests marvel that today’s gracious site, with its many contemporary amenities, originally opened in the Gilded Age to guests in Victorian attire. Since opening its doors in 1895, the Tuxedo Park STL B & B building complex has housed seven different congregations.
For ten years, this once-lovely building sat empty. In 2016, the new owners saw a grand vision for the building and took on the historical renovation. The 2nd floor classrooms and nursery rooms of the school house became four spacious guest rooms with private baths. The adjoining original Akron Plan auditorium with its exterior curved wall became the main guest gathering area and kitchen. Guests relax in the 1908 sanctuary, which retains its 24-foot ceilings, original stained glass, and the only two original light fixtures not destroyed by water. The raised altar area holds a private dining area for 24 family members and friends.
